Maharashtra cancels class 10 state board exams due to Covid-19 surge

Maharashtra government today decided to cancel the class10 state board exam amid the rising covid-19 cases in the state. Varsha Gaikwad said,"Given the worsening situation of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Maharashtra government has now decided to cancel the state board exams for class 10." Earlier on April 12 Maharashtra Education Minister informed that , "We’ve postponed state board exams for class 10th and 12th. Class 12th exams will be held by end of May, while 10th standard exams will be in June."

UGC-NET 2020 Exam for December cycle postponed amid COVID surge

Amid the massive surge in COVID-19 cases in the country, the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Tuesday postponed the UGC-National Eligibility Test (NET) (UGC-NET) for December 2020 cycle in Computer Based Test (CBT) covering 81 subjects. The new dates for the UGC-NET 2020 cycle examinations will be announced later and 15 days prior to the examination. The UGC-NET was scheduled to take place from May 2, 2021, to May 17, 2021. Earlier, the UGC-NET was scheduled to be held in December 2020.

Delhi COVID Restrictions: Summer vacations declared in all Delhi schools till June 9

Amid the alarming surge in COVID-19 cases, the Delhi government on Monday rescheduled the summer vacations in Delhi schools and announced that the summer vacations in all government, government-aided and unaided recognised Delhi schools will commence from April 20 (Tuesday) and will continue till June 9. Earlier, the summer vacation dates were scheduled to take place from May 11 to June 30. However, due to the surge in coronavirus cases, it has now been rescheduled from April 20 to June 9.

Bihar COVID Restrictions: Schools, colleges shut till May 15

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday announced that the schools, colleges and other educational institutes in the state will remain closed till May 15. JEE Main April 2021 session postponed amid COVID-19 crisis

The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Sunday announced that it has decided to postpone the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main April Session that was scheduled for April 27, April 28 and April 30 in wake of the ongoing coronavirus crisis across the country. Reiterating that the safety and well-being of the candidates is its topmost priority, the NTA said that fresh dates for the April session would be announced later and at least 15 days before the exam. It also said that the candidates can prepare themselves better for the examination during this period.

CBSE students demand cancellation of exams due to COVID-19 surge

Amid a surge in COVID-19 cases, over one lakh students of classes 10 and 12 have signed petitions urging the government to either cancel board exams scheduled to be held in May or conduct them in online mode.However, both the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) have said that adequate safety arrangements are being made for students and all COVID-19 guidelines will be followed during the exams.

UPMSP releases revised date sheet for Class 10, 12

As per the latest update, the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board has revised the exam dates for the UP Board exam 2021. The Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board on Wednesday (April 7) revised the date sheet for the upcoming UP Board examinations. As per the revised date sheet, the class 10th and 12th examinations will now be held in May, which was earlier slated to start from April 24. The Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board is now scheduled to complete the class 10 exams in 10 working days, while class 12 exams will take over 15 days.

Lucknow imposes night curfew, educational institutes closed till April 15

A night curfew was imposed by the district administration late on Wednesday night from 9 pm to 6 am, the curfew will be applicable only in Lucknow Municipal Corporation area, and not in rural Lucknow. The District Magistrate of Lucknow in a tweet on Wednesday said that educational institutions would be closed in the district till April 15. The restrictions will not be applicable for medical, nursing and para medical institutions. All government, non-government educational institutes will be closed.
